BackgroundOn behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ),
Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the Ministry
of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) through the Indo-German Energy Programme –
Upscaling Renewable Energy in India. The programme contributes to India's renewable energy
targets by strengthening renewable energy deployment, energy system modernisation, and
institutional capacities.Under this programme, GIZ is supporting the Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA) and
MP Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (MPUVNL) to accelerate renewable energy deployment in Goa
and Madhya Pradesh. As part of this support, GIZ intends to engage a technical consultancy
to prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for two Model Solar Villages under PM Surya Ghar:
Muft Bijli Yojana in Goa, five Model Solar Villages in Madhya Pradesh, and five groundmounted Solar PV projects in Goa. The consultancy will also provide technical and
implementation support to GEDA and MPUVNL for the successful execution of these
